CCC’s SHOCKTOBER SHOWCASE II: 

2025’s Halloween Countdown!

It’s that time again! I’m back for another Shocktober Showcase, counting down the weeks of October leading to Halloween. Every Wednesday and Friday of the month there will be a review for a horror movie remake—it’s REMAKE-A-THON! I’ve seen some of the originals of these remakes, and some I have not. There will be a range of dates, from the classic era to modern day, including a film released this year, and varying subgenres, from alien invasions and giant monsters to gothic shockers, aquatic animals amok, and more!

As a pre-marathon bonus and a way to tide over any readers too hungry for horror to wait until October 1^st, I’ve included reviews for other horror movie remakes I’ve reviewed in the past! For ten years I hosted Clayton’s Creepy Cinema marathons from 2014 to 2023, with a review every day of October, and last year was the first Shocktober Showcase, carrying on the tradition of celebrating October and Halloween through celebrating scary movies. Over the years, I’ve reviewed a number of remakes, but it’s time this year to look at a whole bunch more!
